About this event

The early weeks of the first semester can be stressful as students adjust to changes.

The impact of moving away from family and friends, adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings, or adapting to tertiary study can be daunting for some and overwhelming for others.

With time most students manage to adjust, however, some find it difficult to cope with stress and this can lead to them struggling with anxiety and depression which impact upon their adapting, study, and general wellbeing.

The University provides a wide range of resources to assist students with their transition and time at Bond.

Struggling to cope is not a sign of weakness.

Seeking help is a sign of strength and telling someone you are struggling is the first step to making positive changes.

Be open about sharing your needs, fears or problems with our counsellors or academic and administrative staff.

Seeking help as soon as possible can prevent more serious problems from developing.

Come along to the session and learn more on the support provided and how to cope.
